Dalton's sudden apparent hard right turn

With McGuinty making all these funding announcements for law and order programs, it would appear that he's out to secure the right wing vote.

However, I'm waiting for an enterprising media type to corner him on the following question to prove the move is for real and not just another promise to be broken after the election.

"Mr McGuinty how much of a budget deficit is the province running today?"

This is the problem question for Dalton as it has been his talking point that the reason he had to raise taxes was because the conservatives hid the size of the deficit.

So are any of those "fair and balanced" media outlets ready to drop this one on McGuinty's lap?
And when you do please don't let him off the hook when he starts laying the blame elsewhere. If he's spending millions on law and order, or cricket clubs, it all comes from the tax payer. Last I heard Ontario still has a deficit, why won't the liberals get that under control before beggaring the tax payers to buy their vote?
