Lies and the liars that tell them (the CBC)

Lets start with the story of how the Conservative government is going to eliminate the census long form.
Its BS.
The government isn't getting rid of it, only making it voluntary....the really bizarre part of the reporting on this story is that now the Communist Broadcasting Corp. is running the clip of Layton saying that the government should compromise by only making the long form voluntary.

The purchase of the F35.
We got signed on to this and the bidding started when Chretien was PM. We signed up as part of a group of nations to have a common platform, which makes the plane less expensive to maintain and field. You guys should Google "economy of scale" sometime. The CBC should also be asking Art Eggleton, U Dosanj, or the finance minister of the day Paul Martin, how much was budgeted for this work then.

Iggy's bus trip.
When the guy that wants to be PM cause it would look so good on his CV, says he benefited from a public education, and the CBC goes mute, my first thought is why do you guys get over a billion a year in subsidy to compete with networks that don't?

Wikileaks
Frankly at first I was pissed that you guys where behaving like a rabid dog over the release of these unsubstantiated reports, now there is part of me that desires to see the moment when the families of those soldiers murdered by the Taliban name the CBC in a class action lawsuit.
Perhaps you could provide some balance by reporting on civilian deaths caused by the Taliban? Or how about reporting on war crimes committed by the Taliban?
Perhaps how the majority of illicit drugs, the same type that get used in "safe injection sites" are produced under the duress of the Taliban, then sold by the Taliban, the profits of which the Taliban use to procure weapons

Todays screed - July 21 2010

  1. Nobody outside Hollywood gives a damn about Lindsey Lohan, so can we please let this story die.
  2. Conrad Black is getting bail, which isn't as significant as the not so discussed reasons he was targeted in the first place, and the vindictive individuals that had it in for him.
  3. The liberal leadership race is all but official. The wheels had come off Iggy's bus (figuratively) the day he left Harvard, now its happened literally.
  4. Lizzy May's days as Green party leader are numbered, the writer predicts inside of three months.
  5. As much as I disrespect the ideology of the NDP, I pray that Jack Layton beats his cancer infection.
  6. Christopher Hitchen's, same thing, same prayer.
  7. The civil unions are saying they will not take a wage freeze as long as corporations are getting a tax cut. Perhaps the best response to them is, if they go work for those corporations then perhaps they have a legit argument. None of those corporations I'm betting, has a civic union representing their workers.
  8. The ECO fee was a tax grab, plain and simple. But what inquiring minds want to know is, who is working at Stewartship Ontario and what do they do with the money.
  9. London city council is having a hard time with figuring out what their mandate is. Here's a suggestion. When somebody complains about students and how they drive over their neighbours lawns, the solution isn't to create another parking bylaw. The problem is absentee landlords renting out rooms at extortionate rates in buildings that where neither designed or designated as apartments. You want to nip this problem try this. Get the building inspector and the fire marshal to do a neighbourhood inspection in and around the trouble spots (neighbourhoods around UWO and Fanshawe). I'm sure they will find ample violations of the fire code, unlicensed reno's, and building code violations. Find a violation like that and you make it harder for the slumlords to take over a neighbourhood.
  10. The mayor and her apparent rival Joe Fontana, are seemingly in a battle to prove they are the most business friendly. Why then when a fiscal issue gives rise, like deciding whether to increase water rates for business (and then reduce rates for homeowners) they both say no way, rather than holding city staff's feet to the fire and ask why these rates are what they are now...as in taking the position of "what do you spend that money on now?".
  11. Finally. Why is CBC still being funded by the tax payer when they compete against the private broadcasters?

vandals that pose as G20 protesters

Here is what is flawed about the assumption that Prime Minister Harper is responsible for the vandalism.
To believe he is responsible for the acts of these terrorists you must believe the following lies:

  1. That vandals have a right to destroy property.
  2. That visiting heads of state are never under threat from anyone.
  3. That the civil authority has no legal right to limit or restrict exclusive use of public property.
  4. That all police work without pay.
  5. Finally, that the vandals bear no responsibility for their actions.

Here is what you have accomplished.
You have single-handedly proven beyond a doubt that Ann Coulter was right.
You have tarnished the reputation of every left leaning org and political party in Canada as being just as brain dead as you are.
Proven to the writer that you are no different than the Taliban.
